Quality Management System

MPA Braunschweig operates a quality management system accredited by the German Accreditation Body (DAkkS) for its testing laboratories, its certification body and its calibration laboratory, which is subject to regular external monitoring by the DAkkS.

According to the accreditation by DAkkS, MPA Braunschweig is authorised to apply the standardised or equivalent testing, calibration and certification procedures listed in the accreditation with different issue statuses (flexible accreditation - category A) without the need for prior information and approval by DAkkS. The MPA Braunschweig has up-to-date lists of all testing, calibration and certification procedures within the flexible scope of accreditation, which can be requested and made available at any time at qm@mpa.tu-bs.de

The QM system of the MPA Braunschweig ensures that

  • each of its testing laboratories and the calibration laboratory complies with the "General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories" in accordance with DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018.
  • the certification body complies with the "General requirements for bodies operating product certification systems" in accordance with DIN EN ISO/IEC 17065:2013.

Quality principles of the MPA Braunschweig

  • Continuous quality assurance
    Quality assurance is an obligation and an ongoing task for the Executive Board and all employees. The principles of the quality policy are guaranteed by systematic and comprehensive quality assurance in accordance with the national and international state of the art, in all service phases, at all management levels and in all workplaces.
  • High quality of services
    Each specialist area and its specialist groups are responsible for the quality of the services they provide. The services are characterised by a high level of quality. This begins with the initial contact with the client and continues with customer care after the order has been completed.
  • Thorough analysis of requirements
    The quality of the services provided begins with the careful and methodical determination of the testing, calibration and certification requirements. All the endeavours of the quality management system are geared towards achieving high-quality, reliable and safe results.
  • Application of up-to-date procedures
    The procedures used for the conformity assessment are determined by MPA BS in consultation and agreement with the customer. The procedures are based on the applicable standards and guidelines and take into account the current state of the art. Advice can be given to customers in the sense of clarification of the facts. Advising customers in their decision-making process is excluded due to the independence of the testing and calibration laboratory and the certification body.
